Deferred Compensation Unit

A Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) divides or awards a participant’s account for the benefit of an alternate payee (spouse, former spouse, or dependent) as a result of dissolution of marriage or partnership, or legal separation.  A QDRO is a state court’s judgment, decree, or order that affirms the rights of an alternate payee to receive payment from the spouse’s (participant’s) Deferred Compensation account for child support, alimony, and/or marital property under the state’s domestic relations law.

Notification of pending legal action will place an account on hold.  As such, distributions (hardships, loans, rollovers, etc.) will not be allowed unless directed by court order or until the legal action is resolved.  Please contact the Deferred Compensation Office for more information.
